Where to Go and How to Make Friends After Your Baby is Born?
When my baby was born and I was finally able to go out, I often wondered where to go and how to make new friends.
Whenever I felt exhausted being alone with my child, I would visit the Toyota Childcare Support Center “Ai Ai” located on the 9th floor of T-face at Mitsukoshi Toyota Store.
Let me introduce you to the comprehensive childcare support center in Toyota City, “Ai Ai,” which was a lifesaver for me when my child was small!

You can use the three-hour free parking available around Toyota Station! Just get your parking ticket validated at Ai Ai’s reception by saying, “Chusha ken, onegai shimasu(Parking ticket, please)” and presenting your ticket.

If you’re worried about going alone because you don’t have any mom friends, don’t be. Ai Ai is a place where you and your child can feel relaxed, so I highly recommend it for a change of pace.
My Experience
When I first moved to Toyota City, I didn’t know anyone except my husband. However, Ai Ai was such an enjoyable place that I had a great time. There’s always someone there, kids play happily with others their age, and there are childcare events and free consultations. Even without acquaintances, it’s comfortable!
There’s a space for babies, and you can chat with other moms or ask the staff about childcare and daily life. If you’re shopping at Matsuzakaya and need to change your baby’s diaper or breastfeed, this floor has all the necessary facilities.
Play and Learn
Ai Ai has been renovated in November 2018 with a warm, wood-themed play area. It includes many wooden toys and furniture, creating a calming atmosphere.
Crafting Fun Every Month
They also have a crafting space where parents and children can make something together for free, with different projects each month.
This craft space that never gets boring. Parents and children can create crafts together, choosing from different projects each time they visit (and it’s free!). The available crafts change monthly, keeping things fresh and exciting.
This craft space is a wonderful way for children to explore their creativity and for families to spend quality time together.
Solving Outing Problems for Families with small kids
Going out with small children can be challenging, but Ai Ai solves many issues:

Facilities and Events
Ai Ai has nursing rooms, kids’ toilets, and diaper changing stations. Every Friday, they host “Ai Ai Hiroba,” a fun 15-minute session with interactive play, large picture books, and panel theaters. No reservation is needed, and you’ll know it’s starting when you hear the music.
Eating space
Next to Ai Ai, there’s a space called “Miharashi Terrace” where you can eat and relax. Just register at the reception, get a disinfectant set, and enjoy your meal.

Plenty of Events
Ai Ai hosts a variety of events every month and week. Check the bulletin board or the monthly “Koho Toyota” for event information. Many events require reservations, so keep an eye out if you’re interested.
Breastfeeding and diaper changing at Aiai
There is a nursing room, a children’s restroom, and a diaper changing table.
About Aiai Hiroba
The children loved Aiai Hiroba every Friday and sang “Dakko Daisuki, 00-chan (my name) ~” every day after they got home.
Aiai Hiroba is a 15-minute fun time held every Friday in the Aiai Yochi-Yochi Zone.
Staff members entertain you with hand games, playtime, large picture books, and a panel theater.
Reservations are not required for Aiai Hiroba. When it is time to start, music will be played to remind you even if you are in the middle of playing.

At Ai Ai, you’ll find lockers for your belongings, free childcare consultations, and more. It’s truly a place where you won’t feel alone or overwhelmed.
