Our Family Living in Toyota City, Aichi Prefecture
My husband, who is from the Kanto region, and I live in Toyota City with our two children. Compared to the Kanto area, we often find public transportation and educational resources to be less convenient. However, the abundance of nature and the ample family time we enjoy here are significant advantages that we love, which we couldn’t find in a big city.
Our children enjoy participating in local events and have a strong sense of community. Their weekends differ greatly from those of children in Tokyo. In Toyota City, many children engage in sports, cultural activities, and traditional events within the community. They don’t often spend weekends visiting trendy places like Shibuya or Disneyland as Tokyo kids might. Instead, our family entertainment typically involves trips to Nagoya Station or the Sakae area, where we enjoy delicious restaurants and afternoon tea at nice hotels.
